Driving Sustainable Energy Transition
We turn the greenhouse gas reduction quota into an effective climate protection instrument
Channeling funds directly into the energy transition.
Why the GHG Quota Matters:
GHG Quota: A Powerful Tool for Green Mobility
The greenhouse gas reduction quota obliges companies in the fossil fuel industry to invest in renewable energy projects, thereby promoting electric mobility and significantly reducing CO₂ emissions in the transport sector. Together with our community, we ensure that these funds are effectively utilized to build a clean, livable future for generations to come.
Our Mission
More Resources for the Energy Transition
Our goal is to ensure that proceeds from the greenhouse gas reduction quota flow directly into essential energy transition initiatives. Through transparent processes, effective advisory services, and comprehensive support, we help electricity suppliers leverage these political instruments to drive meaningful climate protection measures.

FAQs
All private individuals with a German registration certificate for a purely battery-driven electric vehicle (BEV). Only purely electric vehicles with the fuel code 0004 can participate in the GHG quota. You will find this information in your registration certificate Part I in field P.3: Energy source or fuel type. Only vehicles subject to registration can be submitted (38th BImSchV). Organizations can also register vehicles with the fuel code 0004 with us.
From the day of registration, it takes approx. 4-9 months for the process to be completed, as the Federal Environment Agency needs several months to check the documents submitted. You will find a detailed explanation of the individual processing steps in the portal.
We are also disillusioned by the premium amount, as quota trading got off to such a positive start two years ago. Unfortunately, the current market situation does not allow for more and now shows prices of around €50 per tonne of CO2 at the end of the year. The actual price calculation takes place after the Federal Environment Agency has issued a positive decision and successful marketing or monetisation vis-à-vis companies subject to quotas.
Our service is completely free of charge and risk-free for you. We are financed by a small commission from the sale of your GHG quota. The majority of the expected market price goes to you – with our best price guarantee, we aim to pass on up to 70 % of the premium to you. If you choose the Flex option, we will pass on the full 70% of the premium to you and receive a commission of 30%.
With a new car, you will receive the full premium for your electric vehicle. In the case of a used car, it may be that the previous owner has already registered the electric vehicle. In this case, you can receive the bonus from the following calendar year. In the event of a change of owner, the previous owner must inform you whether the premium has been applied for in the respective commitment year.
As far as we know, it is not necessary to pay tax on the premium. Please note that we cannot and may not provide tax advice. We therefore recommend that you contact your tax advisor.
Your uploaded documents and data are secure. All your documents and data traffic are encrypted to the highest standards and stored on servers in Germany. We have very high data protection requirements and are of course GDPR-compliant, so your data will only be used to process your application. We use your vehicle documents and information to certify your reduced emissions with the Federal Ministry for the Environment and to make you the best possible offer. You can find more information in our privacy policy.
The European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II) (2018/2001/EU) obliges member states to reduce emissions in the transport sector to a greater extent. In Germany, this is done via the greenhouse gas reduction quota. The relevant laws and ordinances in the context of electromobility are the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and the 38th Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV No. 38). The relevant new version was adopted in summer 2021.
